Conveniently situated within a mile of the market town of Thirsk and the village of South Kilvington, in the heart of Herriot Country, Mowbray Stable Cottages provide an ideal base for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, as well as being within easy reach of York, Durham and the east coast.

Both cottages are equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, colour TV, shaver point and gas central heating. There is plenty of off road parking as well as a shared patio area with garden furniture and a shared laundry/games room.

Linen (but not towels) is included in the price (although towels are available for hire). Pets (including horses) are welcome by arrangement. Unfortunately smokers are less welcome – sorry!

Whilst the cottages are within easy walking distance of both Thirsk and South Kilvington a car is definitely an advantage, as public transport is limited.
