Description:
Borrowby Mill is situated in a quiet location in the village of Borrowby near Thirsk, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The Mill is Ideally situated for touring the Moors and Dales and the ancient abbeys of Riveaulx, Fountains and Byland are all nearby.
The Mill is run by fully trained chef, Mark and his wife Vicki. The house is full of character and has a secluded garden for guests to relax in. The rooms are comfortably furnished, with colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have their own private bathrooms. The cosy drawing room is also available for guest use and houses an extensive library of books.
Food is of prime importance at The Mill and after a restful night's sleep you will be served a hearty breakfast made from local produce. There’s always plenty to choose from, including cereals, fresh fruit and yogurt, cooked breakfasts and toasted fresh bread with local preserves. Freshly ground coffee is always available. Evening meals are also available by arrangement.
Nearby, the historic town of Helmsley has its castle and walled garden. To the West of us are the Yorkshire Dales with historic market towns, excellent walking and attractions. This part of Yorkshire is a patchwork of charming little villages. Moorland roads plunge steeply down to wooded valleys and rise again to spectacular views over the heather.
